How to Create a Hotel Feel in Your Bedroom – 5 Simple Tips
There’s something special about walking into a beautiful hotel room. The bed is perfectly made, the lighting is just right, and the whole space feels like a retreat from everyday life. When I started Juniper, my goal was to capture that exact feeling — and bring it home. If you’ve ever wondered how to style your bedroom to feel like a hotel suite, it’s easier than you think. Here are my personal favourite ways to create your own hotel-inspired bedroom.
1. Start with hotel-quality bedding
For me, everything begins with the bed. There’s nothing better than slipping into silky-soft sheets at the end of the day. I designed our Juniper bedding to bring that hotel-level comfort into your home — soft, breathable cotton sateen with a smooth, luxurious finish.

One of my favourite tricks to make any bedroom feel more luxurious is to work with layers. Think throws, bedspreads, and extra cushions in different textures.
I love mixing materials like TENCEL™ Lyocell, cotton, and decorative fabrics. Not only does it add depth and warmth, but it’s also an easy way to change the mood of your space with the seasons.

3. Create atmosphere with lighting
Lighting makes all the difference. In my own bedroom, I always make sure to have several light sources — soft bedside lamps, a main ceiling light, and even a few candles for extra warmth.
Go for warm, dimmable lighting if you can. It instantly makes the room feel more inviting, especially in the evenings when you want to unwind.
4. Keep It Clutter-Free with Smart Storage
One of the reasons hotel rooms feel so relaxing is because they’re free of clutter. At home, it can be a bit more challenging, but smart storage solutions make a big difference.
I like using beautiful boxes, baskets for extra throws, and a dedicated spot for everyday essentials. It keeps the space looking serene and lets your bed become the true focal point.

5. Finish with personal, sensory details
For me, no space is complete without scent. It’s such a powerful way to set the mood. In my own home, I light one of our Juniper candles every evening. Château Noir is my go-to for a cosy, earthy atmosphere, with black pepper, rose, and a warm base of sandalwood and vanilla. If I want something fresher, I reach for Mont Fort — it reminds me of mountain air and open spaces.
