Juniper is launching a new bedding collection in Tencel Lycocell in Percale
Today Juniper is launching a new bedding-collection in TENCEL™ Lyocell in Percale for the first time since we launched in 2019.
I am so happy that the day is finally here. I started this project over 12 months ago and now it's finally time to both introduce a new sustainable raw material and a new weaving technique.
TENCEL™ Lyocell is an incredible material produced by our partner The Lenzing Group in Austria. The raw material that's used to produce Lyocell is foremost Eukalyptus trees and is certificated as sustainable produced by The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
The production also uses organic products when breaking down the wood pulp which is also recycled to 99 percent at the end of the cycle. A fantastic process.
When it comes to how the new weaving technique feels, percale is more breathable compared to sateen which is the foundation to our Supima beddings. TENCEL™ Lyocell also has a better capacity of minimizing moisture than cotton, meaning that the bedding collection is perfect for those getting warm during the night.
Tencel is also a material that feels softs when touching it and is perfect for those having sensitive skin.
To start with, our bedding collection in TENCEL™ Lyocell will solely be available in white but I promise you that more colors will come in 2024.
Best,
Mathilda
