Production day of our new scented candle
Today is an exhilarating day cause day our scented candles go into production!
Entering this category is cause we want to strengthen further the opportunity for our customers to experience the exclusive feeling of boutique hotels at home.
Our signature fragrance, Mont Fort, is the same as our hand soap and lotion. The aroma was tested and repeated until we found the perfect balance to bring out vivid memories from our time spent near the Mont Fort mountain. I have shared it with friends and family throughout the process, and they were with me when we decided to go with it!!
So about the production. Our candles are produced in a great factory in France which is the primary producer of luxury quality scented candles in the world. Over the last 18 months, we have gotten to know each other very well, and I am happy about the relationship we built. And today is the actual production!
Here some photos from the production.
So what is the best thing about our candles?
One crucial thing for me was to use an eco-responsible wax. So we are using 100% vegetable wax that is better for the environment and your health than regular mineral wax scented candles made from oil.
Then you might wonder, how does it differ from other wax alternatives?
It sounds like it should be standard to use vegetable wax when you hear about all the good things about vegetable wax. However, most scented candles, and all that have black wax, are made of paraffin wax made from petroleum. When burnt, this creates highly toxic benzene and toluene, known carcinogens that are not healthy to breathe.
Another significant characteristic of vegetable wax is its lower burn temperature, resulting in a longer burn time and a more vital fragrance release, which I like.
So, to sum up, some of the benefits of our 100% vegetable wax candles are:
- Phthalates free
- Paraben free
- Benzene and toluene free
- Lower burn temperature, which results in longer burn time (gram for gram
- Stronger fragrance release
- Healthy to breathe in
- Renewable resource
- Easier to clean and reuse the glass
- Clean burning
Let me know if you have any questions or wonders, then I am here!
Best,
Mathilda
