A place where design meets stillness.

Tucked deep within 400 hectares of untouched nature in the Swedish archipelago lies Landet Stay - a collection of minimalist cabins designed to help guests reconnect with what truly matters. Created by founder Umberto Garabello together with renowned architect Andreas Martin-Löf and interior designer Tobias Vernon of 8 Holland Street, Landet Stay blends Scandinavian simplicity with a subtle touch of European character.

“When I first moved to Sweden about six or seven years ago, I fell in love with the way of life in the Swedish landet,” Umberto says. “It’s that feeling of slowing down, of being surrounded by nature, spending time with loved ones, and focusing on what really matters. That’s what we wanted to capture with Landet.”

Humble luxury in perfect balance

Each cabin - compact yet airy at 42 or 52 square meters - is built to dissolve the boundary between inside and out. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the landscape like art, and the finish of the wood, carefully chosen by Martin-Löf, gives the interiors a soft, organic warmth. It’s what Umberto calls humble luxury: comfort, craftsmanship, and intention in every detail.

“We wanted something comfortable and well-designed, but still deeply connected to its surroundings,” Umberto explains. “Everything should feel intuitive - the lighting, heating, small touches that make you feel at home - yet still quietly surprising in its quality.”

A home away from home

Guests often speak of how peaceful they sleep here. Perhaps it’s the silence of the forest. Perhaps it’s the combination of Videung beds and Juniper sheets, a pairing that embodies Swedish excellence in both comfort and sustainability.

“There’s nothing quite like getting into a crisp, fresh bed,” Umberto says. “The Juniper sheets are a perfect partner to our cabins – they complete the experience.”

A place for special moments

In just its first year, Landet Stay has hosted babymoons, milestone birthdays, engagements, and creative retreats. Writers, musicians, designers - many come seeking inspiration and leave renewed.

“I love seeing the creative energy people leave with,” says Umberto. “There’s something about the stillness here that sparks ideas.”

Looking ahead

Landet Stay is only the beginning. With future locations already in sight, Umberto hopes to bring this gentle, thoughtful take on Swedish hospitality to more places - always rooted in nature, simplicity, and connection.

A shared philosophy

What makes the collaboration between Juniper and Landet Stay so effortless is a shared belief in hospitality as an art form - where every detail, from the texture of a sheet to the calm of a morning view, is part of the guest experience. It’s a partnership built on mutual respect for quality, thoughtfulness, and that intangible feeling of care that defines both brands.

“This collaboration with Landet Stay feels truly special,” says Mathilda Wibom Westerberg, founder of Juniper. “We share the same values around hospitality – how to care for our guests and create that little extra something that can’t quite be defined, but is deeply felt. Both of us believe in experiences that are genuine, personal, and timeless. I’m really looking forward to continuing this partnership and building it further together.”
