FOUNDER STORY

It started with a search for something better

When I couldn’t find bed linens that felt both beautiful and built to last, I decided to make them myself.

I left my job to create Juniper, to make the simple act of going to bed feel like a little moment of luxury, every night.

Every piece we make is a reflection of that belief, crafted in Portugal from the world’s finest Supima cotton.

Why it is worth the investment

You’ll feel the difference - every night

You want your bed linens to be made of, it’s why I never wanted to use any other material.

Our sheets are made from extra-long-staple Supima cotton, a fibre so rare that it makes up only 2% of the world’s cotton.

That’s what gives them their incredible softness, their breathable comfort that keeps your body at the perfect temperature through the night, and that subtle, timeless luster that lasts for years.

So yes, it’s an investment.

But it’s one you’ll feel, night after night.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Still uncertain? Find the answers here.

What does "try at home for 30 days" actually mean?

If you don’t fall in love with your bed linens, simply return them within 30 days from your order date for a full refund. That’s how sure we are you’ll love them.

How does Juniper bed linens differ from other bed linens?

The vast majority of bed linens are created from long-staple cotton, we create ours from 100% Supima extra-long-staple cotton. In other words, we use better raw materials. From this superior raw material, we create a 430 thread count sateen weave which is simply sublime. Most regular bed linens will have a considerably lower thread count. Finally, the bed linens are sewn by skilled textile artisans in a family-owned factory in Portugal that has been around since 1948.

The quality of the craftsmanship is extraordinary. All in all, the feeling of getting into bed at night is amazing. It is like climbing into a bed at a luxury boutique hotel. Describing a feeling is difficult, but read the reviews at the bottom, and you’ll see that almost all customers agree.

Why is Juniper able to sell products of this quality at a lower price point than other brands?

At Juniper we trust that delivering a superior product at a better price will make people talk about our bed linens and recommend it to their friends so that we can spend less money on marketing per each new customer.

Are Juniper bed linens right for me?

The short answer is, yes most likely.

As long as you are not in the market for completely different style weaves such as linen or flannel we are confident that our bed linens are right for you.

In fact, we are so confident that these bed linens are right for you that you can buy our bed linens and try them in the comfort of your own home for 30 days.

And if you, for any reason, don’t want to keep the bed linens, we will take them back and issue a full refund. As simple as that.

What does 430 thread count mean and how will it impact me?

Thread count is calculated by adding the numbers of lengthwise (warp) and widthwise (weft) threads within a square inch of fabric.

A more tightly woven fabric will generally feel softer, given everything else is the same. When Juniper was first started, we prototyped various thread counts and had a group of people try the different products.

More than four out of five people in that group indicated they preferred a thread count in the 400-500 range, so we listened to their advice and created bed linens with a 430 thread count.

They are supremely soft but because of the Extra Long Staple cotton breathe really well, so you can sleep throughout the night without becoming too hot.

What is Supima cotton and how is it better for me?

Not all kinds of cotton are equal. Supima and regular cotton are, in fact, two different species of cotton.

The most common type of cotton grown worldwide typically has a fiber length of only about 1 inch, whereas Supima cotton’s fiber averages 1.5 inches.

Shorter fibers produce yarns that are rougher and subject to pilling on the surface of the product, while longer fibers contribute to strength and softness.

Supima cotton is grown at 500 family-owned farms mainly located in California. It represents less than 1% of cotton grown worldwide and is the most expensive widely commercially available cotton in the world due to its high quality standards and commitment to sustainable farming.
